Sean is a Native of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. He earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, returning to Alaska between terms to work as a longshoreman and stevedore.

Sean attended and received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law (“U.S.F.”) While there, he was an extern for the Hon. Teri L. Jackson of the San Francisco Superior Court. He also was selected as a Faculty Research Assistant to the U.S.F. law faculty. In addition, Sean was Associate Executive Articles Editor of the U.S.F. Maritime Law Journal.

Between college and law school, Sean worked as Asst. Superintendent and Warehouse Manager for shipping companies with operations in the Port of Unalaska, Alaska.  Then, he honed his accounting and auditing skills as a staff accountant with Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation in Las Vegas.

Since becoming a member of the State Bar of California, Sean has focused his law practice on civil litigation, primarily real estate litigation with an emphasis on landlord-tenant issues, and labor and employment litigation.
When not working, Sean’s interests include studying the history of U.S. politics – particularly presidential and congressional history, and legal history. He also enjoys literature and nonfiction on a wide variety of topics. In addition, Sean participates in various sports, including fly fishing, deep sea fishing, and soccer. Sean currently plays in various soccer leagues in San Francisco.

Sean also strongly believes in giving back to the community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Iliuliuk Family & Health Services – the only non-profit health center in the Aleutian region.  Sean currently sits on the Board of Directors of Friends of the School of the Arts (“FOSOTA,”) which supports San Francisco’s only arts-focused high school, and he is a member of the Finance Committee of Maitri Compassionate Care.

When you retain us, you are hiring dedicated lawyers with extensive experience and training. We understand the importance of the lawyer/client relationship. It is based upon trust, respect, and confidentiality. It requires our undivided attention to your case, which is why we promptly return all forms of communication.

Although we will not hesitate to aggressively defend our clients' rights, including going all the way to jury trial when necessary, our years of experience has taught us that, in most legal disputes and transactions, we can get a better result for our clients if all of the parties are reasonable and        open-minded.

Walter Parsley, Attorney at Law
